You Asked, We Answered
What is the appropriate attire for Gymnastics?
Anything that is comfortable and allows you to move freely is fine. Acceptable types of clothing are leggings, sweats, and t-shirts, so no need to buy any special leotards. All we ask for is no jeans, tights, or socks. Long hair should be tied back away from the face.
Are parents allowed in class?
For Little and Big Gymnasts, parents are not allowed inside while class is in session. This is to ensure students are focused on the skills being taught instead of who may be watching them in the audience. Every few weeks, we will allow families inside to show what the gymnasts have been practicing, once the technique of each skill has been established.
Why do we have to contact you before signing up for Big Gymnast's 2 and 3?
This is for safety reasons. Big Gymnast 2 and 3 are upper lever classes that build on skills attained from Big Gymnast 1. We need to make sure those skills are fully achieved so no injury comes to the gymnast or instructor when learning these advanced skills. These skills take time to master and will look different for every gymnast. If you or your gymnast has questions or needs more guidance, feel free to reach out! We are here to help.
What happens during evaluations for Big Gymnast's 2 and 3?
When coming in for an evaluation, your gymnast will have a 15-20min evaluation with our head instructor. We will cover the most important skills in the Big Gymnast 1 and 2 class to see if your gymnast is ready for a higher level. If we believe they are advanced enough for one of the next levels, the instructor will let you know to sign them up for the appropriate class.
